Nu-Balearica meets Deep Space Jazz Disco.

“Sounds like if Kraftwerk mated with humans and went to space to do a follow up to the 2003’s Tour De France album”

“Would I be wrong to say something like Metro Area meets Strictly Jazz Unit?”

Geneva, Switzerland’s own keyboard wizard, Mirlaqi returns to the Star Creature Physical Realm. The follow up to his 2019 Telescope Buyers Guide EP on the imprint gets an updated club mix and Nu-Balearic remix from SC labelmate A Vision Of Panorama. “Dances On The Red Planet” has seen a large boost in interest over the last year jump started into warp speed with playlist and club support from Green Velvet and followed by additional recent plays from the likes of Francois K, Craig Smith, Jacques Renault, JKriv, Richard Dorfmeister plus spins on BBC6, NTS, Lot Radio and more. Another testament to the timelessness of the Star Creature's catalog.

“This is a track I just keep coming back to” SC label head Tim Zawada says. “Knowing that Green Velvet was playing it and presenting in different contexts, we wanted to reimagine a few different mix options. I also wanted to tap back in A Vision Of Panorama to take us to the other side of the spectrum. I included a 12” Mix I did back in 2018 or so. I had just gotten the test press white label and was playing an opening set at a big club here in Chicago. The spot was really filling up just as I put this one on and I let it play out. By the end of the track, people were peak energy but in a zero gravity type of way. I would have spun doubles if I had them but instead went back and did an extra long edit and recut the record. Now we have a bunch of versions for all types of scenarios. It’s been really fun to watch the evolution of this track over the years – Still underground, lots of people still haven’t even heard it yet!”
